Just curious to see what some fellow Lancers think about the Iraq war, now that it is underway.

Anyone care to share their opinion?

They need to come out and say, "the reason we're going to war is Iraq's oil" instead of the "free the people" bull and "weapons of mass destruction" crap. You call those rusty old SCUDs "weapons of mass destruction"?

What I can't understand is just how many people it takes to kill one man (Sadam). Kill him already! :-)

I don't think it's oil. If it was we'd have stayed there in '91... UN mandate be damned. Furthermore, Hussein LOST in '91 and signed a treaty stating that certain things would happen. They haven't. Through it's inaction, the UN has (once again) proven itself a useless body and needs to go the way of a dinosaur named the League of Nations. I wish it were as easy as just putting Saddams lights out. However, if we were to just kill him it would leave a power vacuum (sp?) the would probably be filled by one of his sons. Have you seen those two? I wouldn't trust either of them with to walk my dog.

This is a war of family name. Bush came to office with two goals in mind : lower taxes and rid the shame of his fathers mistake of not removing Saddam. These are the the two key points that cost his father re-election and W. wanted to save the family name at the cost of American lives and a stable economy. Looking at the polls I guess the majority of Americans decided 8 years of peace and prosperity were not the direction the country needs and all we can do now is support the brave soldiers in harms way and hope that Bush can save his family pride quickly and get back to the objective of Bin Laden with the 300,000 troops used for Saddam. Would these troops not be more effective in the capture of the 9-11 mastermind than a useless contained dictator and his stockpile of 6 or 7 scuds?

Although this is not a political message board, I thought I'd throw in my two cents. I can't understand why people are protesting this war... Our country was attacked on 9/11 and if they decide to go after Saddam first that's fine with me. Korea next, that's okay too. As a Nation we cannot stand by and wait for the next disaster to happen. I'm sure that we've probably pissed off some young Iraqi and he will be the next Bin Laden in 10 years but you deal with what is in front of you... I think we've sent a message that we can and will stand-up for ourselves(again)!

If you were President, what would you do? Our troops have already torn apart Afghanistan. Is that enough? It's too easy to drift back to life as usual. I don't think it's an oil thing or a revenge for his Daddy thing.

Having rambled all that, no one likes to see our troops getting hurt and I agree that the funds for this War could have been spent in better ways but this is an investment in the future of the World.

Bottom line, you can't please everyone and our troops have some bitchin weapons!!!

Sincerely, Tim S.

all wars are created by the same people who fund both sides of the war.

it's a sick game.

the rothschilds funded america and britain during ww2....they also funded hitler.

the same was happening way before ww2 and still happens today.

the war in afganistan and iraq is partly to do with the caspian sea oil region.....the pipeline will run from the caspian sea through afganistan and on to the gulf.....all countries around the caspian sea are stratigically important for oil, and if they're not "with us",...then we'll bomb them into submisson.

once again.
the people that control the world fund both sides of all conflicts.

divide and conquer.
rule through fear, misery and financial servitude.
create wars and religions to keep the masses squabbling and their attention off the really important things in life.....like love and peace.

did anyone know out there that our country is a corporation ??!! that most of our tax dollars go to pay the international banksters for their loaning our government money and then charging interest on it. why doesn't america issue interest free money like Lincoln wnated to do, and like kennedy wanted to do. why? because those that control the banks also control the government. (note that both lincoln and kennedy were killed) (the control of money is more important than who supposedly controls the government)

the world fascist state is on its way in a hurry.

these "people" create problems, then offer solutions to those problems they've created.

911 is a prime example of this.
people practically begged for something like the patriot act.......what a disgrace !

1)Get rid of "fiat" money.(fractional reserve system).

2)Let america issue interest free money and stop paying those banksters interest on our worthless currency.
3)stop watching that CIA propaganda we call the "news"...it's all lies. Total misinformation.

i hate to tell those of you who don't already know, but....
factions in our own government and power structure perpetrated 911.....not bin laden.

problem/reaction/solution.

their solution....their created "problem".

it's really quite brilliant, but totally sadistic.

and these are the people who run our world.

i say people, but the ones at the top are actually aliens from another dimension working through human bodies.
All the royal families of europe, the rosthchildes, the rockefellers, the bushes, the mellons, kissinger, and the list of aliens goes on.

laugh if you want, but i'm dead serious.

these entities come from the lower fourth dimension and they have no energy source of their own their so they create (in our 3rd dimension) fear, suffering, misery, guilt, resentment etc. to have an energy source for themselves. a good analogy is the animated movie "monsters inc."

check out www.davidicke.com if you have an open mind and want to know more about what i'm talking about.

peace everybody.

WOW... lemmie bust out my tinfoil hat!!! Now let me qualify that last statement. You make many valid points, David. Some of which I agree with, others I don't. However, when you start to mention conspiracy theorists Like David Icke (who, by the way, believes that we're being taken over by lizard men) you really detract from any credence your argument has. I check out Alex Jones' site at www.infowars.com from time to time just to get a feel for the conspiracy du jour. He to has many valid points, but they are often lost in incoherent rants. I do like Alex Jones because he in VERY pro 2nd Amendment and a Constitutionalist. I guess my point is stick to the facts without convoluting them with less than worthy sources.
Looking forward to your reply,
Tony

i used to go check out alex when i lived in austin.

i still visit his website.

i'm sure he knows about the aliens (reptilians) but doesn't talk about them because of the "your crazy" reaction that most people have.

many, many people have seen people of "power" (george bush senior, queen elizabeth (el-lizard-birth), kissinger and others shape-shift into reptillians during their black majic rituals.

also, many people who have been abducted by what appear to be humans, say that later they shape-shifted into reptiles.

i haven't seen any myself, but my gut (intuition) tells me they are right.

read:
"trance-formation of america"
the lady who wrote it was a mind controlled slave who, along with her daughter, was ritually abused by "big" dick cheney and george bush senior (among others)....she writes extensively about the shapeshifting, but attributes it to "halucinations".

other dimensions are a reality.
modern science is jsut now starting to realise this.

these creatures are stuck in a crevase between the 3rd and 4th dimension....a ripple of space/time.

they hold us down with them so that we cannot reconnect with the energy that is the "all creation"...the one energy of the universe of which we are all part of originally.

call me crazy, but at least leave your mind open to the possibility that those of us who think this way could be right.

about icke being "crazy"....
lots of people think jones is "crazy".
i don't think either of them is crazy.

have you read any of icke's books ??
many people call him crazy without even reading what he has to say.

"children of the matrix"
"biggest secret"
"and the truth shall set you free"
"alice in wonderland and the world trade center disaster"

at least read the firt two i mention, and then one can talk about somebody being crazy if one wants.

crazy is from ones own point of view....one's own reality....everyone has a different reality, so everyone could be considered crazy.

please, let's do look at the facts, and let's not rule out points of view just because they don't fit our reality...if they are facts, let's consider them.

The Truth Shall Set You Free.

check out my (little) website for more links to info pertaining to this kind of stuff.....

You're a former Austinite? That’s where I live now. South Austin that is... not up north with the yuppies {;-)>>. We're just going to have to differ on opinions here... Not that I don't believe in alien life forms. However, to imply that all major Gov't figures are shape-shifting lizard-people is just a little too "V" (remember that miniseries?) for my taste. I watch Alex on cable access from time to time. He's definitely animated... and again, I think he'd garner a lot more respect in mainstream circles if he's lay off the conspiracy stuff and concentrate on the facts (erosion of rights, bastardization of the Constitution, etc.) As far as Icke is concerned, I've not read his books but have read excerpts. A few months ago Trio (cable TV) ran a group of documentaries on Icke, Jones, and a few others who's names escape me. In each case the commentator was unbiased, but the person in the spotlight simply came across as a wack-job. Each person was very convicted in their beliefs but, as zealots often do, overshadowed the importance of their message with their outlandish claims. Sometimes it's just better to focus on the message and stay away from statements that detract. I'll be checking out your site...

cool, tony.......

i used to live off slaughter lane, on bilbrook place.....kinda in the neighborhood of alex jones.

small world.
where were you, and when did you deal with the lance ??

i was at ft. sill, '87-'89.

interestingly, i just found out about prescot bush dessacrating Geronimo's grave there in ft. sill back in 1918 or was it 1919...something like that. anyways, he and some army captains dug up Geronimo's grave and stole his skull and some other bones and took them back to the skull & bones "tomb" at yale !!!

the indians for years asked for them back, and when "they"(the bones of Geronimo) were finally returned it was only the skull of a small boy. (and that totally fits with the theme of these guys ritually sacraficing babies and children....they returned a small boys skull !) (there is a whole method to their madness of sacrafice.....to them children are best for the purposes they have in mind....read more about it in "Confessions of a Mother Goddess") really sick stuff.

they still have Geronimo's skull in a glass container at yale.......

so anyways,
i, of course, didn't know this when i was at ft. sill, but i remember visiting the "indian" grave area when i was there.

..........

how about you, chris bennet??
did you know about the Geronimo grave thing with prescot bush ??
and chris,
good job on sparking some thoughts on the "iraq war".....
what do you think about it ??.......
it's almost november now.....log on :)

..........

I spent my whole tour in Aschaffenburg, Germany... Nov. '86 thru Jul '90. The Unit Was 1/80FA when I got there, then it was redesignated to 3/12FA. I got a European out and stayed in Germany 'til Jan. 1st '95. Moved to South Padre Island (hence the email address) and lived there 'til Mar '99. Been in Austin since then. Do you head up to Austin often?

Tony

P.S. I still don't buy the lizardmen stuff... {;-)>>

Well I never thought this thread would end up in conspiracy theories but then again I never thought I would end up in camo my damn self...

I had never heard of the Prescot Bush and Geronimo's grave thing until this thread. Sounds like something plausible for 1918/1919 in the former "Oklahoma territories".

I'm not sure what I think about the war now. Every night when I hear the latest story on soldiers dying over there, I'm inclined to say let's get the hell out of there and let the bastards blow each other up. But then again I jump in the car and bitch at the gas station when gas is nearly $2.00 a gallon, so go figure. Perhaps the best solution would be several Lance ground bursts and call it a day?

Hey David, have you tried to look up John Borsellino down in Galveston? His dad used to own a bar there which I think was called, rather aptly, "Borsellino's". I figure with a name like that you should be able to track him down pretty easily, unless he has moved away from Texas altogether.

I have some pictures of some of the old B-Btry gang that I will scan and post one of these days. Maybe that will prompt some of our "missing" former colleagues to get back in touch with us.

i guess manuel didn't like my comments on other dimensions and lizard men.....everything is gone now !

anyways, tony...

i come up to austin every now and then.
i'd be staying in south austin off slaughter lane.
i'll let you know before i come up next.

and chris,
i'll look for borselino next time i'm in galveston.

peace everybody,

David H
