OK, what were all the Newbie gags that you used to pull on the FNG's/LT's... I remember sending fools to the motor pool to get:
High Speed Missile Wax, There were probably more but those are the ones that stick in my mind.
Hey Carlos you forgot the Blackout Matches. My best one I pulled was at a refueling spot in the field. After they fueled up the track I told them to top off the MMA with rocket fuel. They passed it on all the way to LTC VanHorn.I must have held the fuel line up for a good 20 minutes. Remember the new guys were "Turtles"
In The Rivers We All the To Chief Office To Get Missile Fuel Sample Kit To Check MMA. For Right Fuel. Then Report Back To Section Chief Then To FristSgt Then To Bc.

Hey John, No, I didn't forget that the newbie's were called "Turtles", but I didn't mention that because we only did that in the 'Sheim. I don't think any other place called them that...or did they. Anybody else out there call the new guys "turtles" besides at Crailsheim??? tur-tle: noun; fresh off the bus new guy, can be either commissioned or non-commissioned. Not necessarily straight from basic. Called turtle due to their slowness in learning how things are done. Example: 1. Man, that guy in 1st fire has been here almost a year and he's still f**king up, that guy's a turtle for life. 2. Oh my god man!! I took out the fire extinguisher from the track and told the LT I couldn't drive it because it was red lined, hahaha, what a f**ken turtle, hahaha.
In AIT me and two other guys were sent to get a can of track tension. We even had a 2nd Lt. try to help us find a can of it. The first time we went to the field me and the same two guys were sent after blackout matches.
I was stationed in Camp Pierre at the 1/333 FA from 1983 to 1986. Youo forgot another good one for the newbies.....Sent a new troop to get a can of turnsignal fluid. The SOB was gone for 2 hours. I had to go find him. He had been to every motor bay and every supply Sergeant on base.
Holy crap I just remembered one. Lamphere, remember when we sent Pvt. Merck to the motor pool to get some Military Bearing for us. That was a good one,I think we told him to go into the motorbay and tell the supply clerk that,"Lamphere and Ramirez sent me here to get them some Military Bearing." LOL

as an "fng", I was also sent out to also look for missile wax when I first arrived @ bravo battery, and I was also told to scour the connex for a 15 foot t.r. double "e".
"WOULD U BE THE RAMIREZ THAT WAS STAIONED AT FT.SILL 6TH/33RD 85-87" That would be me :)!! Howard...hmmm, Man I can't seem place the name bro. Refresh this old brain of mine. From 6/33 Charlie I can remember: S. Martin, Keppel, Linquist, Woods, L. Walls, Fuller, Lt. Laporte, the Puerto Rican 15spoon that didn't speak english named Valle, Leznacowski(?), Sandy Spruell...
other Shenanigans..I always loved to send the fng to get several hundred yards of flight line from supply,or chem light batterys,or new chem light fluid...good times good times
Shenanigans, huh??? I was a medic and had just finished my first year in the army stationed at Ft Sam Houston, TX in the hospital. Got my orders for Germany and they sent me to 1/32FA in Fliegerhorst. The first time I had to take the ambulance down to the motor pool for it's wkly VM, it had to have new tires put on. Being female, I guess the motor pool guys thought it would be funny to play a bit. They told me that the mechanics only put the tires on the rims and I had to take them off and bring them into the bay. I had 3 tires off and the 4th one about off before someone came by and asked me what I was doing and why I was taking the tires off instead of one of the mechanics! LOL What did a medic from the Country Club of the Army know????????
