Best duty station, people, and times I have ever experienced in the military. I was fortunate to be there before it all ended. I would like a reunion in Crailsheim, and finish it off with a C-130 flight down to Crete. We can all drink Ouzo and lay out on the nude beach. Strike deep! | ||

Just returned from a short TDY at Ramstein this past November. This was my first trip back to Germany since 1990. Went back to "The Sheim" only to find it no longer existed. Housing area is like condo's for the locals, The Base was destroyed. I have current photos if any are interested. ABSOLUTELY HEART BRAKING!! | ||

I was wondering about manuela after I recontacted you, as far as the sheim I dont know I talked to one of my old german friends about 2 months ago and he said pretty much the same thing.they are good memories but I had to put those behind me my divorce from petra 13 yrs ago boat killed me took a while to get over, I had to let go. I have a great family now though. | ||

hey ! smitty i was a surveyor then and hung out with Larry Hildebrand and nathan smith we listened to punk music with comacho and had some wild parties not as bad as some of the "dog" parties but hey. last i talked to larry he got out and married his german girlfriend and stayed behind to go to school nathan smith is or was in the washington dc area working for the gov't i'm im in illinois getting fat and losing my hair .and thinking about all the fun i had back then i remeber your fav saying "yours!" take care and strike deep ! | ||

you guys know that all this old chat brings back awsome memories email some current pictures, we were pups back then I'm interested in seeing if you all are old & grey and fat like me ha ha! one person id love to hear from again besides steven lee is mike de leon from alpha 4/12 89-91 I went to herzo base, went to crete the first year there had a great time but lost all of my crailsheim friends except a few. the soldiers in herzo used to make fun of how we talked about the sheim man they didnt know for sur what they were missing | ||

herzobase soldiers had to catch a taxi for 42 marks to nurnberg to have the kind of fun we walked to in crailsheim at the new yorker | ||
