My name is Alan Bell and I was stationed with B 1/12 from May of 1983 to January of 1985. If anyone out there was a friend during that time email me and let me know how it is going. I am also looking for information on Bobby Lambert(The little white boy break dancer) and Danny Bennett in about the same time. Bennett moved from Lance to supply in 1984.
Thanks AB

Hello Alan,

I was in 1/12 FA from 1986 to 1987. Fort Sill was a pleasant change from Germany. At 1/32 FA, Fliegerhorst Kaserne, they kept us on a tight leash. We didn't get that much free time and our uniforms, barracks, ect... had to be perfect. 1/12 FA was laid back. PT was a lot easier, our haircuts were longer and you had more time off duty :-)

I was stationed in Aschaffenberg at B-Btry 1st Bn 80th FA from 1983 till 1985. I was also stationed at C-Btry 1st BN 12th FA from 1985 till 1987.Been trying for 2 years to find the guys i was with in both der duetchland and sill. only 2 guys have been in contact with me since 1984, that would be cecil watts and dean lucas, if theres anybody out there please contact me if you can. me and watts are trying to get together on some sort of plan to set up contact or possibly some sort of reunion . in germany our motto was 100 proof. and 1stSgt Tommy mcolloch may still be alive as such be it known that 100 PROOF LIVES.

Flad, I was with Bravo 1/12 from 3/88 to 11/89. 1SG Gilroy retired while I was there, and I believe that was in mid '89. (The only reason I remember the timing is that I was trying to get out of going to White Sands that year and Top supported me on it - unfortunately the new 1SG sent me anyway!)

I believe Gilroy moved to southern California at that point.

The new 1SG, whose name escapes me, was a real asshole. Really made us appreciate Top Gilroy that much more...

I remember Lambert. Have no clue were he is now. We both were from Mass. Pretty cool cat.

I was in the 133rd Ord Det, 100th S&S , 214th F.A. BGDE (support unit for 1/12 and 6/33).

Does anyone know what ever happened to Gerry McNabb (CW3), Service Battery, Maintenance?

I worked for Mr Mcnabb in wiesbaden from 87-89, he then went to Crete to be an evaluator, unfortunately the party life in Crete was too much for him and he died from a heart attack in late 89.

Travis,

Thanks for letting me know. Thats too bad. I really liked him a lot. He taught me more than anybody else about the Lance System and I was a 27L not a 15D. I don't know why, but I had a feeling he had passed away. He did smoke like a chimney after all! He could be a grouch sometimes but he could also be one hell of a great guy.

How about Mr. Cabell? He was a new Missile Maintenace CW1 at the 6/33 back in 85.

Mr Cabell came to Wiesbaden when Mr Mcnabb went to Crete, I worked for him for a couple months before I PCS'd. Havent heard anything from him since.
