Was 2nd Launch B 3/12 when we won the 7th Corp Champeenship o' the world in 87'- Lance Bowl I. And Tree still has the trophy we got from BG Eggelston to prove it, cause the prick stole it when he ETS'd

Any guys left from Aug 1972 ( A Battery, 1st Firing Section, 1st Bn 12th)?

We were the first to get the Lance as a test company in AIT & did the first service test at White Sands in Oct 72'.

BTW we set up and fired in seven minutes but there was no competition. We were testing the system. BTW the squibs frequently failed to ignite the motor.

Anyone hear that F Battery 77th FA fired an Honest John which reportedly overshot the impact area & landed near Medicine Park... only slightly off target in 70'?

Championships in 87? Man am I getting old.

I was the instrument operator who ran the survey for that firing. Luckily my survey closed out perfectly. I think it was in early 71 or late 72 when that happened. The general was not to happy. We were out in the impact area spotting for when the rocket came down. It should have landed in front of us, but landed behind us. 50-100 meters in the wild life refugee.

I was once a lance crewmember stationed at fort sill and germany. I remember a SFC Cooper in the A&T platoon while I was at 1st and the 12th FA BN, A Battery 87 through 88. I was in SFC Sheffield's firing platoon. Is that you?
