Wow this is great. It brings back a lot of great memories. My best Army memories are from when I was in the Field Artillery.

I was in A 2/42 at Mckee Barracks Crailshiem Germany from 1982 thru 1986. C 1/12 at Ft. Sill from 1986 thru 1989, and then A 3/32 at Camp Pieri Wiesbaden Germany from 1989 thru 1992 (the last lance unit to close down, in Germany anyway). I would love to hear from anybody that was stationed in those units or hell any of you Lance guys period.

Greg,
I was in C Btry 2/42 at the 'shiem from 85 to 89. Good to hear from some Mckee Barracks rats. I had a grand time there. Who was your BC and Top?

Carlos Ramirez
06/16/2003

I was B Brty 2/42 from late 83 to 85.
SSG Taylor used to hang out with me and Neuendorf because we played in a Heavy Metal band called "Sinister" anyone remember the Rod and Gun Club riot we started. But yeah "McKee" was a chill post to be at. Get the day off for CQ duty and wander the record stores in town. Then head for "the Wall" in Nurnberg on the weekend for some R&R. BC was Capt. Edwards and Top was SFC. Stevick untill they finally got a real 1st SGT. but I was clearing when he showed up.

Hey, what the hell was the name of the Gun range over by the tennis courts? Something like Wachowski Range?

Greg DeBord

It's good to hear from some guys who were at the 'Shiem during the "Nuke em till they glow" era.

Yeah, of course I remember you David. What have you been up to man? Where are you at now?

Hey Mark, hows it going? Our BC was CPT Frost and 1SG was 1SG Watson.

Yeah Carlos I remember a lot of wild nights at the Rod and Gun especially since it was right across the road from our barracks.

Hey it's great to hear from some of you guys. Keep posting.

Greg,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but hadn't been trolling these boards in a while. We had an E-7 come over from Bravo by the name of Frizzel or Frizzeli (His name escapes me) but he was pretty laid back, knew his LANCE. I do recall him having a German wife and several kids. I think he bought a house and was going to retire in Germany.

Hey!! Your talking about SSG Frizzel ( Frizz-Cell)
Well, he was a SSG when I was in Bravo.
Yeah , He knew his shit, saw him in Lawton OK. at the McDonald's with a couple of other guy from Bravo. I guess they were their for some training or something.
Man, does anybody remember that Mexican E6 from bravo, he had his Brown 72' Monte Carlo shipped in from the states.

Greg DeBord

Yeah I remember Frizzel and the Mexican E-6 both. I never saw Frizzel anymore but I did run into the other guy (Damn, I can't remember his name for the life of me though) in Crailsheim in 2001 I think it was. He stayed over there and was working in Ansbach.

Ah yes the good old days of Nuke Em Till They Glow. I was in Bravo when we had a stuck up CO from West Point and then a OCS Cpt. And the Bear ran the place.

Remember when we were called over to the theater to listen to the Col's "we march on Moscow following our missle craters and lead the way" That was just before he was shipped out after he lost his driving privleges for drinking and driving.
