The Gorge is the Samarian Gorge. That, unlike Zorbas, is still there. I was down in Crete two years ago and Zorbas is now a gas station. They have done alot of road work along the stretch from the Greek NATO camp into the city of Hania. They still use the base but it doesn't have the same crowds as it used to.

I served with A Btry 1/333 FA from 1982 to 1986. I went to Crete 3 times and 3 times we fired the Lance missile on Wednesday. I was the section chief. I remember Zorba's very well. Got drunk there many nights.

The HE warhead had two different submunitions depending on the version. The original had the BU-63B(?) which was a softball sized bomblet. The A1 warhead had the DPICM like bomblets with the M74 fuze assembly.
